App Support Systems Engineer

Salary Range: $75k to $100k
POSITION OVERVIEW:
An App Support Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting our client’s hosted platforms and applications in our Development and Production environments. An App Support Systems Engineer is a seasoned veteran with in-depth knowledge and experience maintaining complex systems and environments while serving as an escalation and primary point of contact for issues, upgrades and maintenance.
This role will work closely with the internal teams at the company as a Subject Matter Expert and provide excellent customer service across the organization and our clients.
A Level 2 App Support Systems Engineer will continue to expand on education and certifications where appropriate, will work independently to resolve trouble tickets, takes point on projects and moves them to completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide internal teams with technical and non-technical consultation on all aspects of Relativity.
- Provide technical procedures and solutions for all matters relating to Relativity.
- Administrator for the Relativity environment, managing resource usage and configuration.
- Determine hardware configuration for Relativity servers.
- Install/Upgrade Relativity applications
- Install/Upgrade Relativity services and dependent components.
- Occasionally work with clients to resolve issues with our client's Relativity sites.
- Take point on projects; plan and coordinate teams in reaching project goals.
- Daily troubleshooting & resolution of assigned trouble tickets.
- Identify opportunities for automation, to increase speed and reduce manpower.
- Evaluate performance issues with SQL, Relativity, and related infrastructure.
- Frequently work with IT for issues that affect Relativity Infrastructure.
- Monitor and respond to alerts for system and service outages
- Participate in regular SCRUM/meetings with team and other departments
- Crosstrain team members with specialized knowledge relating to Relativity
- Mentoring and onboarding of newer team members
- Work monthly maintenance & on-call shift rotations
- May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, Relativity certifications, or relevant work experience is required.
- Required 5+ years in Information Technology or related field
- Required 3+ years with Relativity or similar EDRM tool
- Required 3+ years with Microsoft SQL Server and writing queries
- Required 1+ years scripting skills (PowerShell, Perl or similar)
- Familiarity with integrating 3rd party apps with preferred experience with NexLP, Brainspace, Milyli
- Solid understanding of all stages of the EDRM
- Expert skill with Windows OS (GPO, registry, Perfmon, troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with Linux systems
- Working knowledge of advanced networking concepts
- Advanced Experience with Web Technologies (IIS, Tomcat)
- Strong skills with MS Office products
- Skills with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, vSphere)
- Familiar with common data format types (XML, JSON, Concordance)
- Programming knowledge is a plus (C#, C++, Python)
- Familiar with common tools (SolarWinds, Idera)
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as business level communication skills. Understanding how to tailor communication for target audiences
- Exceptional fluency with the English language
- Project management skills and tools (MS Teams, Visio)
- Must continuously learn new skills as related technology advances
- Availability to work all hours during critical events
- Ability to work independently to resolve tasks without supervision
