Field Service Engineer (Santa Clara, CA/Japanese)

Salary Range: $90k to $100k
Summary
This junior-level Engineer position is responsible for providing field service engineering activities to Company customers independently. This position troubleshoots more complicated products and problems.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be Bilingual Japanese speaking
- Field Service Engineering
- Receives service calls from customer.
- Determines customer need or problem and responds accordingly.
- May provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to customer, may need to respond to emergency customer situation or may schedule and repair Company’s products at customer site.
- Performs preventative maintenance on Company products.
- Establishes and manages a local maintenance serviceÂ
- 2 - 5 years of professional engineering experience. They do not want a technician for this role.
- Titles may be: Customer Engineer, Equipment Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Installation Engineer
- They ideally don't want candidates over 6-7 years of experience
- Hands on engineering experience.
- Engineering for semiconductor (installation, maintenance, repair)
- Working experience with hand tools, oscilloscope, digital voltmeter, etc.
- Keywords to the search: Laser, Vacuum systems, optical bench
- Experience working in a cleanroom
- Nice to have: Strong knowledge of photomask, MASK INSPECTION, inspection, metrology (you can write EUV or DUV), lithography, optical, camera, lasers and robotics. Not required now but bonus/preferredÂ
- Bachelor’s Degree
- College graduate around 2019/2020
- Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Engineering
- If a candidate has a Chemistry degree, that is fine but they must be an engineer as a FSE or the other titles above
