Position: Data Engineer (Food & Beverage Supply Chain Technology)

Job Summary:

We are seeking for an individual adept in development and engineering practices, tasked with ideating, designing, developing, testing, and implementing data extracts, transformations, migrations, and uploads. This involves employing modern software development paradigms (e.g., agile, product, cloud). The ideal candidate should possess expertise in SQL development within Windows and RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) environments, particularly in the context of food & beverage supply chain technology. Proficiency in report/dashboard development using MicroStrategy Cloud Environment is highly desired.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Develop data mappings, extracts, transformations, migrations, and uploads.
  2. Configure supply chain technology for business applications.
  3. Execute SQL and script programming, testing, and debugging post data loads.
  4. Elicit reporting requirements, design reports, and create them for business use.
  5. Generate stories in JIRA backlogs and participate in agile ceremonies.
  6. Review and write code meeting specified quality standards.
  7. Create/update documentation for replicable data loading and configuration.
  8. Collaborate with technical and testing teams within the organization.
  9. Coordinate team members to identify root causes and resolve issues.
  10. Propose enhancements to processes, technology, and interfaces for team efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three or more years of progressively related experience in data extraction, analysis, and reporting.

Technical Skills:
  • Experience in food & beverage supply chain technology.
  • Proficiency in SQL development within Windows and RHEL environments.
  • Report/dashboard development using MicroStrategy Cloud Environment.
  • Agile Tools (Jira).

Soft Skills & Other Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-organized, with a focus on delivering quality work while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate virtual teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Report writing expertise using Snowflake, Oracle, and MS SQL Server DBs.
  • Familiarity with Crunchtime and/or Blue Yonder’s Forecasting and Replenishment technology, including related interface/data structures.

Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
