Training Specialist
Pay Range: $35 - $40.85/hour

Job Summary: 

The Training Specialist will contribute to the development, implementation and success of the our client's applications. The Trainer will also develop and maintain application-training materials, including eLearning scripts, as directed by Manager. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Supports all elements of Care and Business Application training planning, design, development and implementation 
  • Provides training for all phases of the implementation lifecycle, including training super users, other trainers and end-users 
  • Trains and coaches end-users, super-users, and training support staff during and after training sessions, and during optimization initiatives 
  • Develops and conducts training overviews  
  • Contributes to the development of training plans for their designated applications and user roles 
  • Develops detailed curriculum content that includes but is not limited to instructor/student guides, quick reference materials, job aids, scripts and scenarios 
  • Works with project managers, application managers, applications specialists and subject matter experts to assist with the development, validation and updating of training materials 
  • Proactively escalates issues and risks to Training Manager 
  • Assists with the development and execution of appropriate success criteria and measures for training 
  • Troubleshoots problems or questions from end users 
  • Assists with the mentoring of new trainers 
  • Provides end-user implementation-related support 
  • Completes all assigned project tasks and requirements within designated timelines 
Qualifications for the Role:
  • 2 years plus instructor led class training experience (in person or virtual)
  • Curriculum and training materials development
  • Experience with IP nurse training
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver classroom training using best practice adult learning principals 
  • Demonstrated experience with the basics of curriculum development 
  • Ability to accept accountability for assignments, timeliness and quality of work 
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of hospital staff 
  • Bachelors degree or related field experience
  • High school diploma required
