Position Summary

The Data Automation Specialist (DAS) will specialize in the automation of the Financial Institutions many business processes. The position will focus heavily on integration of Financial Institutional data, the various ETL needs and automation. This position is responsible for providing analytical and technical expertise supporting critical business needs, tasks, systems and projects. The DAS will assist in the requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and support of new and existing Cognos, Laserfiche and SQL Studio Solutions. The DAS will interface regularly with the company’ s Development Team. The position includes but is not limited to workflow design, e-form design, database queries, dashboard design, and data-source/data warehouse planning. The position will include taking meeting notes and following up, new software/solution testing and training, reviewing and validating reports and dashboards. This position will, in time, become a skilled report and query writer, and Laserfiche Workflow and e-Form Designer. Coding skills are not required, but a plus. This position will have frequent and valuable on-the-job training opportunities and is intended for a person looking for a career in BI.

Essential Duties
  • Assist in gathering and confirming business unit requirements for Cognos report and dashboards, and Laserfiche Workflows and Forms
  • Develop Cognos Reports and Dashboards as directed by Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Develop Laserfiche Workflows and Forms as directed by VP of Business Intelligence
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Tier Support for Laserfiche and Cognos for Service Desk
  • Serve as the primary system support backup for the Laserfiche and Cognos Administrators
  • Assist in developing system diagrams and documentation
  • Manage BI Service Desk Tickets and Change Control - ensure timely and compliant updates
  • Assist in the development of data warehouse
  • Maintain and grow BI SharePoint Site and liaise with the IT Governance team to support BI departmental communications
  • Serve as liaison to Learning & Development to ensure quality, up-to-date classes

Technical Skills:
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel
  • Comfortable with Windows desktop and Server Operating Systems, and Network Infrastructure
  • Comfortable with statistics, algorithms and scientific analysis. This is not a math-heavy position
  • Familiarity with business process management and workflow diagrams
  • Familiarity with databases, data mining, reporting, analytics, AI, machine learning and “ big data”
