JOB SUMMARY

A digital and technology savvy individual, the Digital Analyst will help support the success of our client’ s Media House through actionable insights that influence content strategy, optimizes media production and delivers key priority audience insights. The Digital Analyst is instrumental in providing business intelligence that grows our priority audiences and informs how users engage with our content and drive consumption. This role requires an individual who can deliver actionable insights and executive level reporting through their strong understanding of digital media measurement. Delivered insights will be key to building campaign briefs, content greenlighting, programming performance measurement, and audience optimization. Successful partnership with cross-functional teams is key to success. This role requires an agile self-motivated, analytical thinker who can quickly adjust to suit business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Digital Insights team goals by delivering against the defined insights roadmap for the primary audiences in order to build a portfolio of proactive insights. These insights include but are not limited to: media consumption habits, platform demographics and sizing, conversation seasonality, share of voice, white space identification, trending topics, sentiment analysis, key influencers, content optimization and competitive intelligence
  • Deliver impactful business intelligence reports and summaries to help drive the digital media strategy and execution across all the company’ s Media House functional teams and channels, including owned and managed digital properties
  • Configure and monitor social listening via 3rd party sources and tools to aggregate, distill, and digest large-scale audience data
  • Maintain an intimate knowledge of assigned primary audiences to have effective data-driven conversations with team members and provide proactive actionable insights to drive strategy and programming
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the current state of the Digital Insights toolsets to provide recommendations to evolve analytics for content on managed and owned platforms
  • Work with the Digital Insights team to define ad-hoc projects
  • Build global relationships with country counterparts in order to impact global media network strategy and goals

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
  • 2-3 years of media analytics experience related to digital media consumption, user behavior and engagement, programming and content performance 
  • Experience with BI tools, including: Tableau, Looker, SAP Orca, Google Data Studio
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), content strategies, and performance measurement
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Sprinklr, Conviva, social platform analytics tools, social listening (including Boolean string creation), and Microsoft Excel
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to find and tell a clear story and generate actionable insights using data analysis and visualization
  • Highly organized and focused multi-tasker with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work proactively with others and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communicator
  • Working experience of SQL, R or Python a plus 

  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent in related discipline
  • Certification in web based analytics tool sets a plus (Google Analytics IQ, comScore Certified Expert, Adobe Digital Analyst Certification, Digital Analytics Association Certified Web Analyst)
