JIRA Administrator Consultant

Looking for a JIRA Consultant  to join a dynamic, stable and growing company in Los Angeles. This is a long term consulting opportunity and the client has many perks including flexible hours. Client is using two ticketing systems within their environment (JIRA & ServiceNow) and looking for a JIRA expert to upgrade, make enhancements and administration of JIRA. It would be a big plus if the consultant has experience with ServiceNow or in particular any experience in JIRA/SNOW integration,

As a JIRA Consultant, you will be responsible for:
  • Configure and maintain the production JIRA Services (JIRA is installed already)
  • Work with various stakeholders within the company to understand requirements to enable custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports
  • Administer, support, troubleshoot and recommend upgrades to JIRA
  • Create and manage complex JIRA components including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA
  • Create and maintain workflow documentation, user management guide, and other related documentation

Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 3+ years of experience with configuration and administration of JIRA
  • Have conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile Frameworks
  • Experience working with the Jira REST API
  • Administration of the Jira infrastructure
  • Develop custom solutions and third party application integrations with Jira
  • Jira software development expertise including ScriptRunner, JavaScript, Groovy
  • Experience developing and maintaining custom JIRA plugins
  • Experience with integration tools such as ZigiWave a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a dynamic environment
  • Must be highly organized, you' re someone who loves to keep data nice and clean
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels with an organization
  • Strong work ethic with good time management and the ability to work with diverse teams

  • ServiceNow experience is a big plus
  • JIRA Service Desk a big plus
