Job Overview:

Our client’ s Global Information Technology Team is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to support the Phase II implementation of its Technology Business Management (TBM) program. The Senior Program Manager should have a proven track record of delivering large scale, complex, and global transformational IT and/or Finance programs. To ensure the successful delivery of Phase II, this resource will dual report into the company’ s Delivery Leads/Executives from both IT and Finance; and be responsible for keeping critical program resources and activities on track according to the team’ s delivery schedule. The Senior PM should be extremely comfortable navigating and keeping organized through various tool, process, people requirements.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Program Management
    • Develop, maintain and update detailed program plan/WBS for entire program
    • Keep teams on track with specific daily / weekly activities
    • Produce weekly status reports, including achievements, upcoming milestones, critical issues, risks, decisions needed and/dependencies
    • Liaison with cross functional teams to ensure progress is made and communication is clear across tracks
    • Assist Executive Team with producing required road maps, program status updates, and other communication materials
    • Coordinate and support daily, weekly core team meetings
    • Schedule / enable web-ex and video conferencing for global sessions
    • Capture meeting meetings, including critical outcomes, decisions and next steps
  • Program Delivery Support
    • Support preparation and leading of work stream specific working sessions
    • Coordinate and align with core delivery team leads and supporting resources
    • Develop supporting process designs and to-be recommendations
    • Capture, inventory and/or catalog critical requirements for specific workstreams
    • Work with provided Business Analysts in various capacities  

Required Skills:
  • Be highly confident in managing large scale, complex initiatives with many workstreams, activities and cross functional dependencies
  • Have extraordinary communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to properly escalate, mitigate and/or triage time sensitive delays, dependencies or issues
  • Strong organization skills and be comfortable juggling multiple activities simultaneously
  • Experience working with global teams, including be able to manage around cultural and time zone requirements (US, EMEA, APAC regions required)
  • Highly proficient in project management principles and/or best practices, including required program management tools / templates (familiarity with agile great, but not critical for this program)
  • Seasoned and comfortable working alongside and with professional service partners
  • Solid understanding of IT Finance Management / ERP platforms
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure domains and supporting tools – Network, Data Center, End User Computing, Cloud, Applications  
  • Be extremely comfortable navigating and keeping organized through various tool, process, people requirements

Desired, but Not Required:
  • Experience implementing Technology Business Management (TBM) programs, including tool and process deployments
  • Experience working with or deploying Apptio products
  • Prior consulting experience – big 4, management consulting, IT consulting etc.
