Project manager/scrum master 

This position requires expertise in designing and implementing solutions as well as managing the day to day activities of the program.  The role will be to manage functional and technical resources, manage and track timelines, team deliverables and report and escalate the status of the project tracks regularly.  Experience in these areas is a must.

Responsibilities include the following:

Job Requirements
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies
  • Ability to track and remove impediments for the team as quickly as possible
  • Communicate effectively with Team, Extended Team members and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the internal teams to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes with respect to production issues
  • Influence habit changes that increase team performance at a sustainable pace
  • Ability to shield the team from outside distractions and interferences
  • Lead and coach team in growing its Agile maturity
  • Coach team members to understand Scrum and the Agile Principles
  • Work with Executive Level Product Owner to ensure a well-groomed Product Backlog
  • Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the program sponsor and stakeholders
  • Work as independent contributor by providing guidance to other team members when required
  • Develop metrics and reports in ServiceNow to help the team understand its health and progress and to set goals
  • Develop metrics, dashboards and reports to summarize Executive status
  • Provide recommendations to improve the product/project roadmap
  • Project Time Management – define activities, sequence activities, estimate activity.  This includes project initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing. This involves ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of new and enhanced business capabilities that meet or exceed expectations
  • Perform specific  processes and activities and ensure the proper implementation of defined compliance, security, and controls
  • Engage the required groups to plan and obtain estimates and commitments from all required groups for requested work
  • Define roles and responsibilities for team members
  • Act as a consultant or facilitator
  • Solid understanding of the day-to-day execution of business processes and related IT tasks
  • Familiar with the ITIL Framework and demand processes across the IT organization
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT Strategy, ITIL, IT Best Practice and Change Delivery
  • Strong business domain knowledge and business acumen
  • Organize the project team (people needed in the business and IT organizations, as well as third parties).  Ensure all policies for on boarding new resources and vendors are followed.   Create or supervise the creation of the project schedule, ensuring that it conforms to the System Development Lifecycle as appropriate
  • Ensure that company controls are observed and applied to all projects under management.  Ensure that a communications strategy and risk mitigation plan has been created and signed off by project stakeholders and is being followed
  • Establish and maintain clear escalation procedures so that problems and issues encountered are addressed in a timely manner
  • Manage project through all tracks and milestones from requirements gathering to post-implementation reviews.  The manager is responsible for ensuring that the necessary resources/skills are available as the project(s) go through the various phases of a software development life-cycle
