Job Overview

The Tech Support participates in the development and implementation of POS features and applications to support our client’ s Operations Team. This position assists in maintenance of POS system configurations and system images. The POS Systems Specialist troubleshoots POS problems by telephone, email, or in person and resolves the issues or refers them to other POS team members for resolution.

Essential Functions

  • Participates in the development and implementation of POS features and applications to support Operations and maintenance of POS system configurations and system images
  • Troubleshoots POS problems by telephone, email or in person and resolves the issues or refers them to other POS team members for resolution
  • Assists in the development, testing, and release of POS program changes and new POS system features
  • Participates in optimizing IS processes to ensure effective and efficient POS implementation and performance
  • Stages POS equipment for new and existing stores and ensures POS systems are functioning so as not to affect store operations
  • Assists in training programs for Technical Support associates and for Operations associates to enhance their knowledge of the POS systems

Requirements for the Role
  • Bachelor’ s degree in IS or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Basic knowledge of the restaurant business and retail/hospitality industry
  • Basic technical knowledge of computer systems and network connections
  • Basic knowledge of IS Support processes
  • Computer/technology skills and working knowledge in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Communication (oral and written), listening, and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking, assessment, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work positively with other departments and Operations (“ win/win”)
  • Demonstrates proactive behavior
  • Ability to talk and share before a group
  • Ability to embrace change and continuous learning
