Job Description
Salary Range: $100,000 - $148,000
Position Details:
•   Employment Type: Full-time permanent positions
•   Immediate Availability: These positions have been approved and budgeted for and are open until filled.
•   Eligibility: We are accepting applications from US citizens and green card holders only.
•   Onboarding: The onboarding process includes a background check with fingerprints, a drug test, and reference checks, typically taking 2 weeks.
•   Location: Daily commuting to Castle Rock, Colorado, is required when needed. Relocation expenses are not available.
•   Hybrid Work Environment: We offer a flexible work environment, with the number of days in the office depending on employee performance, the approval of the hiring manager, and job requirements. Most IT employees currently work three days a week from the office.
•   Limited Travel: Travel is primarily within Douglas County and potentially to other Colorado municipal or state agencies, requiring a valid driver's license and insurance. Air travel is not required. There may be opportunities for educational travel.

Our Direct Client is a vibrant community nestled in Castle Rock, Colorado. Their Application Services Division is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of software solutions, supporting various departments.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Principal Systems Analyst to join our team in Castle Rock, Colorado. As a Principal Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the innovative and impactful technology initiatives of Douglas County, supporting multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Principal Systems Analyst, you will lead the selection, implementation, and support of applications from inception to completion. Your responsibilities include:
•   Conducting thorough requirements analysis, market assessments, solution evaluations, system architecture, data management, systems design, testing, and providing ongoing support and maintenance.
•   Configuring applications when needed to align with specific business requirements.
•   Leveraging an in-depth understanding of data, database structures, data models, table relationships, and proficiently writing basic SQL statements for data analysis.
•   Identifying security and infrastructure risks and effectively engaging the appropriate staff members in crucial discussions.
•   Depending on your skillset, you may be tasked with managing vendors and contributing to contract authoring and collaboration.
•   While knowledge of systems such as Coroner (Cohero), Public Health (ActiveAlert, HS CloudSuite), and Human Services software (ACSES, CBMS, CompassPilot/OnBase, HSCARES, HSConnects) is a bonus, it is not mandatory.
Position Structure:
•   The Systems Analysts work in the Information Technology department and are assigned to logical groups of products for support, typically by department or office, and occasionally by product or process.
•   The Principal Systems Analyst reports to the respective IT Manager, who, in turn, reports to the Senior Manager over Application Services, culminating in oversight from the CIO.
•   This position is part of the Public Health & Safety (PH&S) team, which currently comprises two other members. The team excels in business analysis skills and is seeking a candidate with strong technical skills to complement the team. The role may involve documenting high-level strategic needs for the Mental Health Initiative, Community Justice Services, and the Sheriff's Office.
Business Domains Supported:
The Public Health & Safety team supports products for the Coroner's Office, Public Health, and Human Services. The IT Manager over PH&S also serves as Business Relationship Manager to the Mental Health Initiative, Community Justice Services, and the Sheriff's Office. Therefore, this role may be involved in documenting high-level strategic needs in these areas.
Technologies and Processes:
We utilize a hybrid approach to project management, combining elements of both waterfall and scrum methodologies. Additionally, we follow ITIL principles for IT service management, providing ITIL training to support your growth in these areas.
