Senior Software Engineer (FinOps)
Location: Denver, CO
Compensation: $110K to $130K

About the Role
As Senior Software Engineer (FinOps), you will work with our finance, technology, and operational teams to continuously improve key Platform billing processes, operational performance, and reporting.

You will understand the business requirements and then ensure these can be implemented from a people, process, policy, and technology perspective by working with technical teams to effectively design, develop, test and launch scalable solutions that address customer needs while meeting our high standards. Every member of the Direct Client team is focused on innovating on behalf of our customers.

This role is highly entrepreneurial in nature; hence it requires candidates who can develop a full picture of the business problem to build a solution. The role will report to Senior Program Manager (FinOps).

Responsibilities
• Deeply learn our industries served & user personas to successfully take ownership of features from idea to production
• Rapidly design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Follow best practices to write high-quality, secure, maintainable, scalable, testable, and efficient code
• Provide system administration support related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, and custom objects
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify improvements and upgrades that will optimize processes, reduce cost, improve stability, and increase performance
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications
• 8+ years hands-on experience developing, implementing, and maintaining production codebases
• 1+ years GoLang experience preferred
• Extensive experience with SQL / Postgres
• 3+ years of Java
• Demonstrated work developing and deploying cross-system integrations (API, P2P, IPaaS)
• Experience working independently and delivering business outcomes for ambiguous projects and features across multiple partner teams
• DevOps experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, NATS, and Redis
• Desire to understand the business context for the solutions you are building
• Hold yourself and others to a high standard when working with production systems
• Have 2+ years’ experience with ERP systems like Oracle or NetSuite preferred
• Experience with highly transactional, e-commerce, or finance-related industries preferred
