Job Title: Control Systems Programmer
Job Description:
The Control Systems Programmer is responsible for writing PLC programs, OIT programs, and software control descriptions to manage water and/or wastewater processes. Working from engineering drawings and specifications, this role provides input into the project design and utilizes various software and hardware platforms for programming. The Control Systems Programmer performs bench testing and panel testing to ensure PLC and OIT functionality aligns with project specifications. Additionally, they assist with troubleshooting and programming programs onsite once installed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write PLC programs, OIT programs, and software control descriptions for water and/or wastewater processes.
- Provide input into project design based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program using various software and hardware platforms, with applied knowledge in major manufacturers like Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens, etc.
- Conduct bench testing and panel testing to verify PLC and OIT functionality meets project specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting and programming programs onsite post-installation.
- Apply strong understanding of computer operations and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Utilize working knowledge of instruments and electro-mechanical devices used for process control.
Requirements:
- Experience in PLC programming for water/wastewater processes.
- Proficiency in major manufacturers' PLCs and OITs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens).
- Strong understanding of computer operations and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of instruments and electro-mechanical devices used in process control.
Salary: $76,000 - $97,000
