A technology-driven organization is seeking an experienced Application Development Manager/Lead to oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-performance mobile applications with a focus on iOS, Android, and video streaming technologies. This role involves leading a team of developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of iOS and Android application development, ensuring performance optimization and high-quality standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of video streaming solutions, ensuring seamless playback, low latency, and scalability.
- Manage and mentor a team of mobile developers, providing technical direction and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to define application requirements and technical roadmaps.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply best practices for mobile development and video streaming.
- Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of mobile applications, particularly in handling video content and live streaming.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in mobile development, video streaming protocols, and cloud-based media processing.
- 7+ years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java) development.
- Extensive experience with video streaming technologies such as HLS, DASH, RTMP, WebRTC, and media encoding/decoding.
- Proficiency in CDN integration, cloud-based video processing (AWS Media Services, Azure Media Services), and video playback frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of mobile application architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Experience working with third-party SDKs, APIs, and libraries related to media and streaming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with AI-driven video enhancements, adaptive bitrate streaming, and DRM technologies.
- Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native.
- Knowledge of backend technologies for streaming (Node.js, Python, Golang) and database management.
