Job Description

Data Scientist Developer
Salary Range: $125-175K 

Role The Team of our client works on discovering information hidden in vast amounts of "text" data. The person selected for this role will work with Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Managers to design, setup and implement information retrieval experiments per various client requests. In other words, they will build and maintain tools to support these data science type projects. Software Developers, Data Science in the Linguistics, Analytics, and Data Science (LADS) group at our client to help discover information hidden in vast amounts of text data to support the custom search, technology assisted review (TAR), and information retrieval needs of our clients.

A Software Developer in the LADS group is responsible for collaborating closely with the data scientists and engineers within the Applied Science Group as well as across our client's company to bring LADS solutions to production. Additionally, the Software Developer will assist in the design, setup, and implementation of information retrieval experiments to improve existing legal workflows and support client requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and maintain tooling to support—and where appropriate—contribute to data science projects.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientist/engineers to build reliable, performant production systems.
  • Assist in creating security and data protection settings.
  • Develop a deep understanding of legal data, particularly in document review.
  • Work with relevant internal teams to determine and set up appropriate infrastructures for machine learning projects.
  • Report on findings and provide information tailored to the specific needs of audiences that include attorneys, technologists, analysts, and executives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Adherence to common DevOps practices and tools, such as Azure DevOps, Git, and other CICD frameworks.
  • Experience in MLOps, DevOps, and GPU CUDA programming.
  • Experience with containers (Docker, Podman or Kubernetes)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
