Desktop Support Technician I
Pay Range: $25/hour to $28/hourÂ
 Summary
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support to the user community. This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktop hardware, software, and other computer-related technologies in an enterprise environment.
The technician will support users both onsite and remotely, ensuring reliable operation of workstations, peripherals, and network connectivity.

The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support to the user community. This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktop hardware, software, and other computer-related technologies in an enterprise environment.
The technician will support users both onsite and remotely, ensuring reliable operation of workstations, peripherals, and network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance to end users as needed

Image PCs, laptops, and Macs using tools such as SCCM and Casper
-
Analyze, maintain, and repair personal computer hardware, software, and peripherals
-
Install and configure printers and peripheral devices
-
Activate network ports, including desktop patching in IDF environments
-
Support remote users and remote locations
-
Assist with user and departmental moves
-
Install, repair, and maintain workstations across multiple facilities or sites

Escalate unresolved issues to IT management when necessary
-
Communicate customer service issues clearly to ensure timely resolution

Prepare defective parts for shipment to manufacturers

Maintain records and parts inventory for spare equipment

Attend vendor training workshops to gain proficiency in workstation and peripheral servicing

Recommend process improvements to the IT Client Services team

Participate in on-call rotations as required

Perform other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-
Associate’s degree in a related field (preferred)

6 months to 2 years of IT experience required

Desktop support experience preferred

Experience with or exposure to the following systems/tools is a plus:

Cerner
-
Footprints
-
Kronos
-
-
Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to support multiple locations and work in a fast-paced environment
