About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to oversee software engineering operations and help drive the digital transformation of the B2B supply chain.

In this role, you will manage the engineering team, define product roadmaps, and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions. You’ll work closely with the executive team to identify market opportunities and develop products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Engineering team, aligning efforts with company goals.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability within the software engineering department.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing engineering team to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales and customers to identify product opportunities and set market direction.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure organizational excellence.
  • Ensure the platform’s scalability, reliability, and performance for enterprise clients.
  • Define and enforce engineering standards and best practices, including design reviews.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent by fostering a culture of growth and learning.
  • Evaluate and implement new systems, tools, processes, and technologies to improve design, decision-making, and speed to market.
  • Monitor industry benchmarks and drive the achievement of best-in-class product specifications and advanced development practices.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in SaaS/platform architecture, cloud technologies, and software development best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving complex technical challenges.
  • Proven experience with prototype, preproduction, and production product launches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and engineering excellence.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering management at a leadership level.

Compensation
  • $185,000–$200,000
