HR Generalist Â
Job Summary
Client is looking for a qualified, dedicated and detail-oriented HR Generalist, with experience working in a multi-state environment. Â The position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities which may include staffing, training and development and benefits administration. Additionally, the position will ensure compliance for all related HR activities and responsibilities.
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee initial Recruitment and Onboarding for direct hires and for temporary employees.Â
- Process and submit for review Semi-Monthly multi-state Payroll. Maintain GL Upload in WFN. Post all payroll Journal Entries in SAP. Â Coordinate training to help managers administer time and attendance functions and aid them in training their employees.
- Benefits administration (401K audits, Open Enrollment, New Hire Enrollment, and Qualifying Life Events, COBRA Admin, and Invoice Audits)
- Assist HR Manager with general employee relations matters, insuring proper documentation, and coordinate with supervisors and managers regarding employee violations.
- Coordinate Leaves of Absences with Employees (Multi-State), with support from HR Manager
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and org chart, to contribute to policy development.
- Workers Compensation Claims management and administration.
- Responsible for Federal and State Compliance Filing and upkeep (OSHA 300, EE01, CA Pay data).
- Employee filing, I-9, and retention compliance
- All other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
- Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Extremely detail-oriented and problem solver
- Experience in warehouse management procedures and best practices is a plus!
- Ability to prioritize and organize workflow.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competency with computers and reporting systems. Proficient with Office Suite of Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required (preferably in HR, Business administration, or Social Sciences/Psychology)
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources
- Fluent in English, Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus!
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Repetitive movements.
- Ability to lift between 10 and 15lbs occasionally.
