Position: Helpdesk Technician

Skills and Abilities:
  • Preferably holds an A+ certification or equivalent certification in hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft-based desktop environments, including Windows 7/8, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts and technologies such as TCP/IP and DNS.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks or issues concurrently while prioritizing effectively.
  • Comfortable adapting to work interruptions and maintaining productivity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with good telephone etiquette and legible handwriting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously with individuals across all organizational levels, including hospital personnel, vendors, and the general public.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and graphics programs on a personal computer.
  • Skilled in preparing and editing complex documents.
  • Ability to independently take responsibility, exercise initiative, make decisions within the assigned authority, and work without direct supervision.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and adept at multitasking effectively.
  • Strong organizational, detail, and time management skills with acute attention to detail and an awareness of urgency.
  • Experienced in handling a high volume of phone calls, emails, and IT support tickets.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute and familiarity with IT/IS terminology.
  • Physical capability to lift office supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods while performing tasks.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information.
  • Flexible and willing to acquire new skills.
  • Proficient in multitasking to assist the department team with various tasks.

Compensation: $25-27 per hour

This role requires a skilled individual with a diverse skill set, encompassing technical expertise, communication abilities, multitasking capabilities, and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment.
