IAM Solutions Architect Pay Range: $80/hour to $93/hour  Overview
A leading enterprise organization is seeking an experienced IAM Solutions Architect to support the evolution, stabilization, and formalization of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and processes. This role will partner closely with security, engineering, product, development, and operations teams to design scalable IAM solutions that align with broader business and security objectives.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on architecture role focused on improving IAM strategy, documentation, governance, and technical direction across complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural expertise with excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with IAM engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to design and improve enterprise IAM solutions
  • Establish and enhance IAM architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices
  • Analyze IAM systems, integrations, and data flows to support future platform direction
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, system diagrams, and technical standards
  • Drive consensus on technical designs and architectural decisions across stakeholders
  • Support process development and operational maturity initiatives within IAM programs
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable, supportable solutions
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions and reference architectures when needed
  • Facilitate collaboration between security, development, operations, and business teams
  • Contribute strategic guidance while remaining actively engaged in technical discussions and solution planning
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in Identity and Access Management or Information Security
  • Experience designing or contributing to large-scale enterprise IAM architectures
  • Strong understanding of IAM technologies, identity providers, identity governance, and authorization systems
  • Experience with identity standards and protocols including SAML, OIDC, and Shared Signals Framework
  • Hands-on knowledge of IAM platforms such as Okta, SailPoint, Active Directory, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with logs, directories, databases, and API-driven data sources
  • Proven ability to work across teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to drive structure, clarity, and process improvement
  • Experience facilitating technical discussions and influencing architectural direction in enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid IAM environments
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Experience working within large, complex organizations with multiple integrated systems
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and enterprise security frameworks
