Job Summary: The IT Asset Manager II is responsible for managing IT assets including software, software subscriptions, hardware, and leases in support of the Technology Solutions-managed subsidiaries, divisions, and the corporate office, which represents approximately 10,000 users. This position is also responsible for maintaining the integrity of asset data within ServiceNow and the processes/reporting required to ensure software compliance, hardware tracking/retirement, proactive identification of support renewals, and lease expirations to enable the IT Procurement to effectively negotiate and/or identify alternatives. The IT Asset Manager II will also serve as the liaison for vendor software audits and will be responsible for ensuring remediation if necessary.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Participate in the installation and configuration of development/test/production Microsoft Finance and Supply Chain Management environments is required.

REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required.
- MS Dynamics CRM experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple implementations and/or platform upgrades.
- Must be skilled in analytical techniques, practices, and problem solving.
- Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technology.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels including customers, vendors, peers, business stakeholders, and management required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products required.
- Capable of learning new systems and creating/implementing new system functionality.
- Understands advanced internet and client/server architectures.
- Possesses intermediate knowledge of SQL and databases.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
IT Asset Management:
- Knowledge of the set of business practices that join contractual and inventory functions to support life cycle management and strategic decision making for the IT environment. Assets include all elements of software and hardware that are found in the IT environment.
- Able to:
- Monitor the life cycle of all IT assets from procurement to disposal using multiple data sources including ServiceNow, SCCM, and other third-party monitoring tools.
- Gather detailed hardware and software inventory information.
- Maintain policies, standards, processes, systems, and measurements that enable the organization to manage the IT Asset Portfolio with respect to risk, control, and compliance as established by the business.
Hardware Asset Management:
- Knowledge of all of the infrastructure and processes necessary for the effective management, control, and protection of IT hardware assets, throughout all stages of their lifecycle from acquisition through disposal.
- Able to:
- Manage the request and approval processes, life cycle, redeployment, and disposal of hardware assets including but not limited to:
- Managing laptop loaner pool.
- Managing evaluation hardware.
- Assuring disposal of hardware is in compliance with e-waste policy
