Jr. Budget Analyst

Job Description
Pay Range: $28 to $33.84/hour
Our client is looking for a Budget Analyst whose primary responsibility is doing invoice processing, invoice status reporting and Vendor aging reports. The selected candidate for this role will also handle the purchasing function for minor equipment, minor software, etc. He/she will also conducts basic financial analysis on trending of expenses.
Requirements for the Role
- Basic working knowledge of GAAP and general understanding of the General Ledger
- Understanding of internal requisitions and interdepartmental financial transfers.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and effectively with Managers, Directors and up
- Ability to understand and explain simple budget variance
- Understanding of basic contractual final clauses is a plus
- Able to understand and prepare basic journal entries
- Ability to create spreadsheets with an intermediate level of understanding of Excel
- Able to liaison with Accounting, Accounts Payable and Purchasing departments to resolve invoice discrepancies
