Job Description


We are seeking a highly technical network engineer to join our client’ s growing production support team. The selected candidate for this role must have strong hands-on technical expertise in modern data center architectures.  He/she must be able to translate business requirements into technical architectures, data models and designs. He/she should also have excellent client facing skills and be able to articulate technical issues.  Experience with clients in the financial services domain is a plus for the role.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for building and maintaining the day-to-day operation of computer networks
  • Monitor and maintain existing networks and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot network related issues in an enterprise production environment
  • Create vendor support tickets such as Cisco and Palo Alto and follow through with issues to resolution
  • Support IT and Security incidents and initiatives
  • Manage and maintain data center infrastructure
  • Communicate timelines, network dependencies, resource constraints, and progress with stakeholders
  • Train others to take on operations, as needed
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation

Requirements for the Role:
  • 5+ years of experience in core network technologies, including routing, switching, and firewalls
  • 3+ years of wireless networking, 802.11 b/g/a/n, RF, rouge mitigation
  • 1+ years of Windows systems/server administration
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • CCNA
  • Experience with Cisco ACI EPG deployment and alarm troubleshooting  
  • Experience with Cisco ISE log gathering, radius authentication troubleshooting, and OS upgrades
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki maintenance, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in managing network monitoring and configuration management tools, SNMP and NetFlow
  • Experience in LAN technologies including:   Spanning Tree, loop prevention, port security, VLAN, LACP, QOS
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewall administration, NAT, PAT, IPsec S2S, Global Protect, Panorama.
  • Experience with utilizing network tools and packet sniffers. e.g. WireShark, tcpdump
