Job Description:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing practices in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and ANA Code of Ethics. The role involves applying mathematical concepts, practicing nursing competently, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies, legal requirements, and Patient Rights. The Nurse Manager demonstrates proficiency in using the hospital information system, manages the nursing process, and is skilled in decision-making for effective patient care.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficient in applying mathematical concepts for practical situations.
- Knowledge and practice of nursing in alignment with relevant regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with Nursing Sensitive Indicators and understanding the special needs of age-specific groups.
- Awareness of legal and regulatory aspects of care, including accountability and documentation.
- Competency in using the hospital information system.
- Knowledge of Patient Rights and the ability to translate concepts into practical application.
- Skilled in the nursing process and effective decision-making for care planning.
- Time management skills to provide excellent patient care.
- Competence in safe and effective usage of equipment necessary for patient care.
- Proficiency in current nursing practices and procedures, including the development of care plans.
- Skills in budget preparation and control.
Salary: $160,000 - $190,000
This role requires strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, and the ability to ensure positive patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager should be adept at managing resources, budgeting, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
