Job Title: Process & Controls Engineer
Location:Â Fully Onsite in Carrollton, GA 30119
Salary Range:Â $110K. to $130K.Â
About the Role:
Are you a PLC Process & Controls Engineer who loves being hands-on in a manufacturing environment? Do you have expertise in combustion management systems and thrive on designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting automation systems? If so, we want to talk to you!
We’re looking for a Process & Controls Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in PLC programming and process control systems—not a database-focused role, but a true on-the-floor engineering position working directly with technicians.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, design, and maintain automation and control systems for industrial equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems.
- Create SCADA and operator interface applications for process control.
- Design and draft electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical and electrical components.
- Develop scope of work, cost estimates, and budgets for electrical systems.
- Gain expert knowledge of SCR systems, including fluid systems, metallurgy, and material handling.
- Train and support customers through presentations, discussions, and on-site startup assistance.
- Travel internationally (~35%)Â for commissioning and troubleshooting.
? 5+ years of experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry working with industrial processing equipment, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and combustion systems.
? Strong PLC experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens systems.
? AutoCAD proficiency for electrical schematics.
? Experience with SCADA systems and HMI applications.
? Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
? Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
