Project Manager (HDIP)
Pay Rate: $58–$60 per hour

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to support a Health Data Informatics Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT project management, research data systems, and cross-functional collaboration. This role involves managing multiple initiatives focused on clinical research data acquisition, integration, and utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, reporting, and close-out of projects in alignment with approved strategies, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Provide oversight and coordination for project management activities within a matrixed, cross-functional team environment.

  • Ensure program compliance with organizational policies, contracts, and fiscal planning procedures.

  • Support program reporting, including monthly updates and quarterly/annual summaries.

  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings—prepare agendas, document minutes, and track action items for committees, review panels, and project teams.

  • Serve as a key liaison between project partners, clinical researchers, and data scientists to support data acquisition and management activities.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project transparency and accountability.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in healthcare IT or health informatics project management.

  • Strong technical project management skills and experience building business cases, project justifications, and ROI reports.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with electronic data capture systems and electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Knowledge of research regulatory requirements, project management methodologies, and business requirements analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of clinical trials research and related processes.

  • Experience in research budget management.

  • Background in clinical data research projects or work within an academic medical or research environment.

  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 CDA and FHIR.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects and adapting to evolving business needs.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technical, clinical, and analytical teams.

  • Experience leading research data management teams across platforms and systems.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, Teams, and Visio.

  • Knowledge of virtual/cloud-based data environments, including security and privacy compliance (IRB, HIPAA).

  • Strong understanding of EMR workflows, public health data exchange, and research data management standards.

  • Familiarity with healthcare data organization, storage, cataloging, and analytics.

  • Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge of ontologies and coding systems (ICD, CPT, LOINC, MedDRA).

  • Experience with OMOP/OHDSI, REDCap, and Cerner EMR.

  • Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) for data management and analytics.
