About the Role
We’re hiring our first Platform Engineer to establish and lead platform engineering as a key capability within the organization. This is a foundational, hands-on role responsible for designing and implementing the infrastructure, automation, and developer tooling that will support the company’s rapid growth. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data leadership to define platform direction, build reusable systems, and ensure that our environments are secure, scalable, and self-service.

About the Role
We’re hiring our first Platform Engineer to establish and lead platform engineering as a key capability within the organization. This is a foundational, hands-on role responsible for designing and implementing the infrastructure, automation, and developer tooling that will support the company’s rapid growth. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data leadership to define platform direction, build reusable systems, and ensure that our environments are secure, scalable, and self-service.
What You’ll Do

Define Standards & Architecture: Collaborate with engineering and data leaders to set platform direction, architecture, and operational best practices.

Enable Developer Autonomy: Build reusable Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment frameworks that empower engineers to ship independently.

Own Cloud Infrastructure: Design and evolve a secure, cost-efficient, and highly available AWS environment.

Embed Security & Compliance: Lead SOC 2 readiness initiatives, implement least-privilege access models, and integrate compliance into infrastructure workflows.

Drive Observability: Strengthen monitoring, logging, and analytics with tools like Datadog and PostHog to provide clear visibility into system health and usage.
Tech Environment

Languages / Frameworks: Python (Flask, FastAPI, data pipelines), React

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, Fargate, EC2, RDS, Elasticache, VPC, S3, Route53, Step Functions), Docker, Terraform

CI/CD & Quality: GitHub Actions, SonarQube (or similar)

Databases: Postgres, SQL Server
-
Monitoring & Analytics: Datadog, PostHog
What We’re Looking For
-
8+ years in Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
-
Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, ECS/Fargate
-
Proven track record designing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud systems
-
Experience leading or supporting compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
-
Strong understanding of developer enablement and self-service infrastructure models
Bonus Points For

Advanced AWS IAM administration experience
-
Database administration skills (especially Postgres)
-
Background in application or infrastructure security
-
Prior experience building from the ground up in a startup environment
Location
