Senior Technical Project Manager

Location:
Orlando, FL (Hybrid – onsite 2–4 days per week; schedule subject to change)
Pay Rate: $83.89/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple complex technology initiatives supporting large-scale operational and customer-facing environments. This individual will manage project interdependencies, drive execution across cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery aligned with strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical project management experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to lead enterprise-level initiatives from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Strategy
  • Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive project plans supporting organizational priorities and business goals.
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Establish long-term plans and roadmaps to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support resource allocation and budget planning activities.
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Lead multiple concurrent technical projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate project activities and facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor schedules, track deliverables, and ensure projects remain on target.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Manage project budgets and oversee cost tracking to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Facilitate leadership- and executive-level meetings to communicate progress, priorities, and escalations.
  • Implement and manage change control processes to maintain alignment with approved scope.
  • Monitor project performance and resolve issues impacting quality, timelines, or customer expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies and quality standards.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Develop and execute project communication plans for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project status updates, including risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Build strong partnerships with leadership, business teams, and technical teams to support successful delivery.
  • Prepare presentations, dashboards, and executive reporting materials.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and maintain alignment on project goals and priorities.
Financial & Budget Management
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Partner with finance and project controls teams to maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Support forecasting and budget reconciliation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and team members.
  • Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the evolution of project management standards, tools, and processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience managing technical programs and projects involving enterprise-level technology solutions.
  • Experience leading initiatives across multiple technical teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, Lean, and Kanban, with the ability to apply blended approaches when appropriate.
  • Ability to understand technical architecture concepts and effectively collaborate with technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with Agile engineering practices and DevOps concepts, including CI/CD and testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, financial tracking, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing initiatives and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting customer-facing digital or mobile technology initiatives.
  • Experience within retail, food & beverage, hospitality, point-of-sale (POS), or related operational environments.
  • Exposure to POS implementations or migrations, hardware deployments, or cloud migration initiatives.
  • Experience developing reporting and dashboards using Smartsheet.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Agile certifications such as CSM, ACP, CSPO, SAFe, or LeSS.
