Title: ServiceNow Developer / Engineer – CMDB Focus
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $40–$50/hr
Location: Greater Phoenix Area (Hybrid)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer / Engineer with hands-on experience in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to join a dynamic IT team. This role focuses on designing, configuring, and optimizing CMDB-related solutions to improve data accuracy, automate discovery, and support IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and Asset Management capabilities.

The position is contract-based for 6 months, with hybrid work options in the Greater Phoenix area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, with a focus on CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.

  • Integrate CMDB data with ITSM, ITOM, and Asset Management modules to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Configure identification and reconciliation rules, CI classes, and relationship models.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and Orchestration tools.

  • Conduct CMDB audits, data analysis, and reconciliation to ensure data integrity.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, estimate work, and deliver technical solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB data, integrations, and platform performance.

  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or engineering experience.

  • Strong understanding of CMDB structure, CI relationships, and Discovery patterns.

  • Proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow platform configuration.

  • Experience with one or more ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or SAM.

  • Knowledge of Discovery, MID Server configuration, and integration protocols (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.).

  • Ability to create technical documentation and solution design specifications.
