Site Reliability Engineer
2/22 Update: Team has removed DevOps responsibilities / requirements from this role. & Are looking strictly for a SRE candidate now. So far they hadn't seen any candidates submitted from previous rounds that met these new requirements (they're willing to reconsider if we have a strong argument for a candidate!). They'd like to see 2-3 very strong profiles then pause to review / pivot if needed. Requirements below are rough notes from call today, will send out formal job description once received!
*They're doing one & done interviews for this role!
Londen Insurance | Direct Hire
Salary: $120K-$150K / year (open to being flexible if this doesn't match the market rates)
Interview Process: Only 1 interview! 60-minutes via Teams - technical / overview.
Start: ASAP! Ideally this person would start next week.
Client: Londen Insurance
Location: 100% Remote (Working on AZ time)
They can only accept candidates from the following states: - Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.
The Team: This person will be on 1 of the 4 Agile (KanBan) teams within Londen Insurance.
The Project: This position will be supporting a department consisting of cross functional Agile teams focused on developing and delivering solutions to a new platform. Extensive collaboration is required with the internal teams as well as IT Operations, Architects, external vendors, and others to support the transformation of a legacy system to a modern platform and drive the future technology needs of the company.
MUST HAVES:
• AWS experience with
PLUSSES:
- Familiarity working with Auth0
o Configuration of Auth0 Tenants for applications
o Update expired Secrets
SOFT SKILLS / CULTURAL:
This is a family owned business, not quite the "corporate culture" - they need someone who's flexible in a sense that they're pushing hard but not working around the clock. The team has a great work / life balance, and they focus on quality work over speed or anything else.

- 60-minute Teams interview with 4 panelists. I'll send interview prep notes / details. No live coding / coding quizzes, the team will just share code and ask questions (Ex: "what's this code doing? what would you expect from.?")

MUST HAVES:
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
- Experience with production/filter monitoring/containerization
- 4+ Years of Experience with development of shell scripts
- Experience deploying/patching/administering Linux (Ubuntu) or related Linux OS
- Experience in migrating application from on-prem to cloud
- Experience with Linux and shell scripts
- A strong understanding of Internet standards and protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP, and UDP
• AWS experience with
- Lambda Functions
- CloudFormation
- Dynamo DB
- My SQL (Database content)
- API Gateway
- ElasticSearch administration
PLUSSES:
- Familiarity working with Auth0
