Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Salary Range: $110k to $135k  Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing quality systems within a high-tech production environment. This role is responsible for driving quality management processes, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer quality initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to improve process performance, maintain product quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve quality management system documentation, including procedures, control plans, FMEAs, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures, customer requirements, and applicable ISO/IATF standards.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits, including implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability (Cp/Cpk) monitoring to identify trends and drive process improvements.
  • Analyze manufacturing data using statistical methods to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage quality systems related to material review, change management, and structured problem-solving processes.
  • Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Drive implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Coach and mentor engineering teams on structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), technology transfers, and product reliability validation activities.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met throughout product development and manufacturing stage-gate processes.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, supporting audits, issue resolution, and quality escalations.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven responses to customer quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to standardize best practices and improve quality performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering within semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or other high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Process Capability (Cp/Cpk)
    • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
    • Control Plans
    • Risk Assessments
    • Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Experience supporting quality management systems and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and make data-driven quality decisions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in semiconductor fabrication, process integration, device engineering, reliability engineering, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting customer quality audits and customer-facing quality initiatives.
  • ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality systems knowledge.
  • Lead Auditor certification or other quality certifications are a plus.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and technology transfer activities.
