Job Description
Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst  Â
Job Functions:
Collaborate with the Scrum team/technical staff/source application teams:
? Â Effectively communicate the business requirements to technical staff.
? Â Assist in design of the proposed technical solution to the business need.
? Â Break down business requirements into concise JIRA tickets (Epics, User Stories, Tasks) and define Acceptance Criteria.
? Â Answer questions and resolve ambiguities for the developers and QA Engineers during development.
? Â Ensure that the software meets project objectives and customer expectations.
? Â Be the main point of contact for communication between the project team and the source system owners.
Â
Data analysis:
? Â Understand the data available in the source systems and the data needs of the required solution.
? Â Prepare data mapping and interface contract documents.
? Â Analyse the data to identify trends and patterns.
? Â Analyse the quality of the data and identify gaps and potential problems for the solution.
? Â Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
? Â Help preparing the cutover and data migration plan.
Â
Provide ongoing application support:
? Â Document and track reported problems and issues with the application thoughout the different test phases and after go-live. Escalate problems as required.
? Â Research and resolve issues related to application defects. Coordinate resolution with the technical team and the user community.
? Â Assist user management in defining required changes in business processes and documents the required changes.
? Â Create application documentation for end-users and technical staff, provide training as needed.
Job Requirements:
Essential:
?  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
? Â 5+ years of experience in business systems and/or data analysis
? Â Experience in gathering specifications in big development projects for web-based applications
? Â Experience in working in Agile teams
? Â Strong data analysis skills
? Â Strong understanding of business systems analysis and design techniques
? Â Expert writing skills of requirements and technical documentation
? Â Expert knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, Teams, SharePoint
? Â Strong SQL and Excel skills
? Â Solid understanding of data modelling, web (UI/UX) and API development
? Â Experience with AWS, Redshift, authentication and authorization technologies a plus
? Â Eager to learn
? Â Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
? Â Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
? Â Strong communication and organization skills
? Â Team player, who also can work independently
? Â Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
? Â Willing to work flexible hours for collaboration with the off-shore team
