Sr. Project Controls Analyst – Planner/Scheduler

Overview: An exciting opportunity awaits a Project Controls Analyst Senior – Planner/Scheduler to join our high-tech team developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. In this role, you will develop a multi-year plan for producing customer deliverables and support execution areas with standard and custom reports. This position is based in Colorado.
Responsibilities:
- Review customer contracts, statements of work, and requirements to develop a schedule plan. Communicate the plan to the program team.
- Collaborate with Control Account Managers (CAM) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to determine resource needs.
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of the program baseline to meet Earned Value Management (EVM) System Description requirements.
- Lead the scheduling effort for the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) on programs.
- Analyze schedules and develop all customer and management schedule reporting. Present schedule data as required.
- Serve as the scheduling subject matter expert for a portfolio of programs.
- Facilitate scheduling discussions to create project schedules and determine relationships with other projects.
- Assist technical experts in establishing milestones and support monitoring adherence to the IMS by identifying programmatic problems and providing solutions.
- Recommend and lead scheduling best practices and process improvements.
- Align programs and operations to strategic objectives in collaboration with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
- Support the Program Management Office in achieving business objectives.
- Develop programmatic opportunities/risks and their mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate planning and setting of the baseline across the portfolio.
- Perform what-if scenarios for schedules as issues arise, such as analyzing funding constraints and program impacts.
- Manage detailed production schedules and ensure integration with the IMS.
- Assist with planning and coordination of proposal work within the portfolio.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days per week at the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other potential non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- BS degree in a related field plus 8 or more years of related experience.
- Higher-level degrees (Master’s Degree or Ph.D.) may substitute for two years of experience each. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
- Experience developing/maintaining schedules on multiple programs using Microsoft Project.
- Understanding of and 5 or more years of experience working in an earned value environment.
- Ability to engage with program teams to develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity dependencies that structure the IMS.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for constant interaction with all departments and employee levels, including customers.
- Proficiency in program schedule baseline setup and maintenance.
- Experience in proposal schedule development.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Aerospace and Defense experience.
- Experience working in a Microsoft Project Server environment.
Pay Information:
- Hourly Range: $45/hr - $61/hr
