Job Title: Systems Administrator (Onsite)
Salary Range:Â $66k to $78k
A growing technology services organization is seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to deliver high-quality onsite and remote IT support across client environments. This role is ideal for a service-oriented technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting, user support, and infrastructure maintenance. The position plays a key role in ensuring stable, secure, and reliable IT operations across multiple business systems.
This is a highly interactive support role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve a wide range of technical issues with minimal supervision.
Work Location
Fully onsite role based in the Reno, Nevada area. Exact site location will be confirmed. Mileage reimbursement provided for approved travel between supported locations.
Compensation
Target salary range up to approximately $78K, with final offer level tied to technical assessment and interview performance. Offers are typically aligned within range based on demonstrated skills and experience.
Core Responsibilities
Independently diagnose and resolve end-user and infrastructure issues across desktop, server, and application environments
Support Windows and macOS workstation platforms
Troubleshoot printer and peripheral device issues
Resolve common productivity software issues including office and collaboration tools
Support business-critical applications such as accounting and ERP platforms, coordinating with vendors when required
Address advanced server and system-level incidents
Handle basic to mid-level network troubleshooting across switches, connectivity, and configuration
Serve as an escalation resource for junior support staff
Participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation supporting both remote and onsite users
Perform system updates, patching, and maintenance activities
Required Background
Willing and able to work full-time onsite across office and client locations
Proven experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS environments
Hands-on experience supporting modern Windows Server platforms
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-V
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure-based services
At least five years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technical operations roles
Working knowledge of network fundamentals including firewalls, switches, and general network design
Experience supporting Active Directory, endpoint security tools, backup platforms, productivity software, and mobile devices
Prior experience in a managed services or multi-client support model is strongly preferred
Relevant server or infrastructure certifications are a plus
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required for client site visits
Performance Metrics
Billable utilization and productive ticket time
Customer satisfaction ratings tied to support interactions
Internal quality and ticket handling reviews
First-contact resolution rates
Hourly Pay Range
Approximately $32 to $37Â per hour depending on experience, skill level, and location factors.
