Job Description
The Systems Engineer IIÂ
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Systems Engineering - Architects, implements and supports infrastructure technologies.
•    Contribute to defining systems and creating architectures
•    Contribute to design, implementation, integration, and testing of infrastructure technologies                                                                                                                          Â
•    Support the deployment, operations, and maintenance of infrastructure technologies    Â
•    Contribute to identifying migration path needs
•    Assist the team with deployment, operations, and maintenance of infrastructure and Cloud technologies
•    Review existing technologies for vendor support and end-of-life information                                                                                                                                                                                  Â
Technical Support - Ability to understand internal/external customer technologies and problem resolution techniques.
•    Administer, monitor and support all aspects of a Cloud-based infrastructure environment                                                                                                                                  Â
•    Troubleshoot and correct medium to high complexity problems that affect operation of the environment
•    Develop and maintain documentation of assigned environment
•    Demonstrate knowledge of routine techniques, skills, equipment, and procedures                                                                                  Â
•    Apply knowledge to identify and proactively responds to high complexity system problems                                                                         Â
•    Assist in the resolution of medium to high complexity issues affecting Cloud Infrastructure. Areas of responsibility include AWS, Azure, IaaS and PaaS
•    Work to develop additional technical knowledge and skills
•    Perform system maintenance activities
•    Identify opportunities for more efficient and effective operations through the implementation of automation and monitoring.
•    Evaluate reported problems, determine issue severity and collaborate with other IT departments to resolve the reported issue.
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required
•      Knowledge of AD Group Policy, Network technologies, Storage, Security, Virtualization and other support technologies required
•      3+ years’ experience with Virtualization Cloud technologies required within the following areas:
o            AWS
o            Azure
o            IaaS
o            PaaS
o            Linux UNIX Administration
o            Microsoft Server
o            Containers and Virtualization
o            Microsoft O365
o            Orchestration Technologies and Techniques
o            Infrastructure as Code principles
o            Server administration, performance monitoring and optimization, maintenance, security,    domain architecture and upgrades required
o            Administrating a highly complex and dispersed environment required
o            Build and deploy templates and instances in Azure and AWS
•            AWS certifications preferred
•            Azure certifications preferred
•            Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team
•            Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills
•            Excellent customer service skills
•            Superior organization skills and multi-tasking abilities required
