Unified Communications Technician
Pay Range: $33/hour to $35/hour 

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Unified Communications / Telecom Technician to support and resolve incidents across our communications infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in Cisco Unified Communications environments, including Jabber, as well as hands-on experience with VoIP systems and network troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve incidents related to unified communications and telecom systems

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP systems, analog phones, and related hardware

  • Perform structured cabling installations including CAT5e, CAT6, fiber, and coaxial

  • Ensure efficient cable routing between desks, IDFs, MDFs, and substations

  • Install, modify, and repair services related to video, data, and telephony

  • Troubleshoot network and VoIP issues to maintain uninterrupted connectivity

  • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate technical information clearly

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of telecommunications installation and maintenance experience

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for VoIP systems, analog phones, printers, and Layer 1 networks

  • Experience with LAN/WAN technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, QoS, PoE, VLANs, VoIP)

  • Proficiency with Cisco Unified Communications platforms and tools (e.g., Jabber)

  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or technical certification in a related field
