<strong>About the Role</strong>

<br>We are seeking a <strong>Field Service Engineer</strong> with hands-on semiconductor equipment experience to join our client's growing engineering team. This position is ideal for early-career engineers (2â5 years of experience) who are passionate about advanced semiconductor technologies and want to continue building their technical expertise through direct customer interaction, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex systems.<br> 

<br>You will work closely with global engineering teams and customers to ensure the optimal performance of precision inspection and metrology equipment. This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.<br>

<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>

<ul>

&#9;<br>Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades on advanced equipment in cleanroom environments.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Interface directly with customers to assess issues, deliver technical solutions, and ensure high system uptime.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve challenging technical issues.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Provide documentation, service reports, and feedback to management.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Participate in equipment evaluations, training sessions, and product improvement initiatives.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Support the local service operation and contribute to a strong customer relationship network.<br> 
&#9;

<strong>Qualifications for the Role&nbsp;</strong>

<br><strong>Required:</strong><br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Bachelorâs degree in <strong>Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering</strong> (Chemistry accepted if candidate has hands-on FSE or similar engineering experience).<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br><strong>2â5 years of professional engineering experience</strong> in the semiconductor equipment industry (not a technician-level role).<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and hand tools.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Experience working in a <strong>cleanroom environment</strong>.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Familiarity with <strong>lasers, vacuum systems, and optical systems</strong>.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for customer support and training.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.<br> 
&#9;
</ul>

<br><strong>Preferred:</strong><br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Bilingual in <strong>Japanese</strong> or <strong>Mandarin</strong>.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Experience with <strong>photomask, mask inspection, metrology (EUV/DUV), lithography, optics, camera systems, lasers, or robotics</strong>.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Prior experience with installation projects lasting <strong>12+ weeks</strong>, involving end-to-end sustainment and maintenance.<br> 
&#9;
